[00:00:36] mike-richardson_2_10-24-2025_083649: Hello everyone. I'm Mike Richardson and welcome to the Peering Podcast. I'm so excited to have you here. I've been wanting to do this podcast for years, and you may know me from, some of the keynote speaking and other things I've done around, but also from the other podcasts that I work on with my colleagues called, prompt and Circumstance, Prompt and circumstance podcast.com.
And, um, just having a blast doing that. One of my colleagues there is Tom Adams, and he's a whiz with all this stuff. So I asked Tom, Hey, can we, uh, piggyback, uh, this podcast on that same platform? Uh, and indeed that's what we've done. So welcome to. Uh, the peering podcast, peering podcast.com. Uh, I've been wanting to do this for years, and obviously there's sort of several meanings to peering.
Uh, firstly, for, for over two decades now, I've been involved with peer groups, peer forums. Peer advisory boards, plus advisory boards and governance boards as well. All about tapping into the power of peers and and collective intelligence. And so we're gonna invite co-hosts and guests here who've experienced the power of all of that.
And they can be sharing, uh, from their experience. Secondly, of course, the meaning of peering is to look into, to, to delve into, to delve into complexities of leadership and business these days to delve into different industries and different types of companies and to delve into the journeys of different leaders.
And so I'm really looking forward to doing that. And then the third meaning of peering is to peer into the future together to try to anticipate looking through that fog bank, how is the future shaping up and what do we have to do, uh, to be future-proofed with the agility required because we know. That, that's just getting harder and harder and harder.
And it's about to be exponentially harder with this era of, , artificial intelligence that we're entering into right now, which is just gonna 10 x the amount of disruptive change that we experience. And of course, if we're agile, that's full of opportunity. And if we're not, it's full of threat. So I'm really excited about launching this new.
Uh, peering podcast. I'm excited to have you here. We're gonna have lots of interesting co-hosts and guests as we go along. We'll have, uh, a bench of people, uh, so that this can have a feeling of being a peer experience itself. we'll load up the bus, as it were, and have 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 people at a time if we can get them and just look forward and have a great journey together.
The peering podcast.com. The best way to see the future is to peer into it together. Thanks for being here, and I look forward to journeying onwards and upwards with you.
